Thursday 14 June 2018 to Sunday 17 June 2018
long weekend
with Swami Atma

Yantra, Mandala and Labyrinth are all instruments of transformation, in that their inherent energy can evoke the state of meditation. Their form is often in the ancient symbolism of the circle. As Swami Atma says: 'The circle is an archetypal energy which is beyond the perception of the mind. It is a conduit between our mind based life and That which is eternal and beyond form'.

During this retreat, you will be given practices that have the potential to expand the dimensions of the mind and thereby illuminate its deeper nature. The normal discursive faculty of mind is channeled through these practices into a greater quietude and spaciousness.

The Sri Yantra contains within it all other Yantras. It represents cosmic evolution, the transformation of the formless, or transcendental, into form. Though expressing the manifestation of duality, the Sri Yantra also awakens within us the experience of Oneness.

Although there will be some theory, most of the retreat will be orientated towards practice both inside and also outside, weather permitting.

This course also offers Hatha Yoga, Mantra, Yoga Nidra, Karma Yoga, Kirtan and Satsang, as well as some periods of mouna (silence) and also a havan (fire ceremony).
