Tuesday 25 April 2017 to Sunday 30 April 2017
5 days
Conducted by Dr Hania Kramlund, Yoga Bija (Barbara Münz) and Swami Nishchalananda

Welcome to an energy enhancing 5-day retreat using classical yogic practices supplemented by PowerPoint presentations, joyful healthy collective cooking and hands on learning about the plants that grow around the ashram.
We would like to share our knowledge with you based on our own experience as well as the latest scientific research on health and longevity. You will learn how to enhance your vital energies through specially selected yogic practices combined with how to optimize your nutritional uptake.
Excessive stress and conflicts in the mind deplete our vital energy. During this course you will learn how to quickly and effectively calm and focus the mind, thereby lowering stress levels. This will help to improve your digestive system, the uptake of nutrients and thereby enhance your vitality.
In the morning you will participate in ‘functional’ hatha yoga – practices specifically for joint and spinal health. You will learn how to optimise your meditative sitting position so that you can deepen your inner experience; this alone will help to increase vitality and longevity.
In the beautiful ashram grounds we will practise walking meditations, as well learning about the medicinal qualities of wild herbs and edible wild plants. We will teach you how to make nutritious green drinks using available organic ashram grown plants as well as cooking tasty and energizing meals  enriched by the savoury wild herbs around.
This course is designed for both Yoga teachers and practitioners. Teachings will be both theoretical and practical.
Dr. Kramlund practises general medicine in Sweden. She also studied acupuncture for 3 years in China and Japan. She has practised yoga for many years, becoming a yoga teacher in 2002. Currently she works in occupational medicine where she mainly treats patients affected by stress disorders.
Yoga Bija has been practising Yoga for 30 years. In 1989 she participated in her first Yoga Teacher Training course in Greece; other training courses followed. She became a herbalist 20 years ago whilst searching for natural remedies and ointments and she has attended various training courses on healing plants and cooking with wild herbs.
